Friends
of Wilmington Parks (FOWP) is a “grass
roots” non-profit group of over
500 members founded in 1991 (See
History). We are actively involved
with the State of Delaware Division
of Parks & Recreation and The City
of Wilmington in the preservation and
maintenance of the Wilmington State
Parks. FOWP is an active 501(c)(3) organization
with over 25 board members and staff.
Currently
we are:
1)
Coordinating the reconstruction of the
Sugar Bowl Observatory overlooking Brandywine
Park.
2)
Maintaining the Jasper Crane Rose Garden
in the Brandywine Park
3)
Acting as volunteer coordinators for
the Brandywine Festival of the Arts. |
