Friends of Wilmington Parks offers programs to the public each quarter. These are great opportunities to learn more about our parks and celebrate their beauty. FOWP members receive discounted tickets and invitations to sign up early. Check back here for upcoming event details.

$25/person for half day tournament

Spectators: Free (bring your own chair)

Pickleball Play Day 2024

Friends of Wilmington Parks is bringing back our popular Pickleball Play Day! Players can compete in a half day tournament at the Lovering Avenue Courts at Brandywine Park. Spectators are encouraged to come and watch America’s fastest growing sport in person.
Players will be able to sign up for an intermediate level blind draw tournament.  Women will play in the morning, and the men’s tournament will take place in the afternoon. All players must be rated 3.0, 3.25 or 3.5 to compete.  Players will have the option to purchase a picnic lunch.  Registration giftbags and prize packages are offered for the tournament winners and runner ups. 
Spectators are encouraged to make a day of it! There will be yard games and raffles available.
