Renovating a Passive Park
Friends of Wilmington Parks is honored to be included in the design committee to reimagine what H. Fletcher Brown Park could be in the coming years. DNREC officials and Wilmington State Parks staff are working together to plan for its renovation. Phase One of the project is underway.
The Plaza area, with crumbling concrete and an outdated structure, has been removed. The underlying drainage problems that have plagued the park for years will be addressed next. The design committee is working to finalize plans for the redesign of the entire park once the underground issues are solved.
